Education

School readiness is a focus in our daily play based curriculum.

School readiness encompasses a variety of skills in all developmental areas which are nurtured and extended each day through a variety programmed activities, interactions, group and routine times.  In addition to this a school readiness extension program is also run by our early childhood teachers for children the year before they go to big school.

Nurturing

If children are happy, feel safe and have a sense of belonging they are more inclined to learn.  Our goal is to provide a positive and fun beginning to education thus encouraging a passion for learning.

Consistency amongst educators is of high importance meaning that you see the same faces each day on arrival. Our dedicated educators are experienced and long standing with a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Meet the Team

  • Lisa

    Lisa

    Approved Provider and Centre Director.  Lisa has worked at The Learning Haven since its opening in April 2009.  Lisa holds a Bachelor of Teaching, Bachelor Education and Associate Diploma of Social Science.  Lisa began her career as an educator in 1997 and has been a centre director since 2001.

    Lisa works in the office and in both classrooms as needed.

  • Elissa

    Elissa

    Assistant Director and Educational Leader. Elissa has worked at The Learning Haven since October 2016.  Elissa holds a Diploma and Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care and is currently studying a Bachelor of Education Early Childhood.  Elissa began her career as an educator in 2000.  Elissa heads up the Sunshine Room (3-6yrs) and oversees our educational program. 

  • Jennifer

    Jenn

    Head of Outdoor Environment. Jenn has worked at The Learning Haven since December 2018.  Jenn holds an Associate Diploma of Social Science.  Jenn began her career as an educator in 1991.  Jenn works across the centre.

  • Kayleigh

    Kayleigh M

    Kayleigh holds a Diploma and Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care.  Kayleigh began her educator career at The Learning Haven and has been with us since 2021.  Kayleigh works in both classrooms.

  • Brianna

    Brianna

    Brianna holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.  Brianna began her educator career at The learning Haven and has been with us since 2022.  Brianna is an educator in the Sunshine (3-6yrs) Room.

  • Kloe

    Kloe holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and is currently studying Bachelor Education Early Childhood.  Kloe began her career at The learning Haven and has been with us since December 2022.  Kloe works in the Daisy (18mths-3yrs) Room

    Kirstie holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Kirstie began her career in early childhood in 2014 and has been with us at The Learning Haven since May 2023. Kirstie works in the Daisy (18mths-3yrs) Room.

  • Cassie

    Cassie holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Cassie began her career in early childhood in 2017 and has been with us at The Learning Haven since July 2023.  Cassie works predominantly in the Sunshine (3-6yrs) Room.

    Sarah holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Sarah began her career in early childhood in 2004 and has been with us at The Learning Haven since Dec 2023.  Sarah works across the centre.

  • Kaitlin

    Kaitlin

    Kaitlin holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and began her career at The Learning Haven in Jan 2024. Kaitlin works between both classrooms.

  • Naleah

    Naleah holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and is currently furthering her study, undergoing the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.  Naleah began her career at The Learning Haven and has been with us since Feb 2024. Naleah works in the Daisy (18mths-3yrs) Room.

  • Hannah

    Hannah holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.  Hannah joined The Learning Haven in April 2024 while she was completing her qualification.  Hannah works predominantly in the Sunshine (3-6yrs) Room.

    Sam holds a Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood.  Sam began her career in 2001 and has been at The learning Haven since Oct 2024.  Sam works in the Sunshine (3-6yrs) Room.

    Kayleigh is currently studying Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Kayleigh began her career at The Learning Haven in Nov 2024 and works between both classrooms.

    Kali holds an Associate Diploma of Social Science and began her career in 1998, with further study after this time and working as a nurse until returning to her early childhood career and joining The Learning Haven in May 2025. Kali works in Daisy (18mths-3yrs) Room.

    Brittany is currently studying Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Britt began her career at The Learning Haven in May 2025 and works across the centre.
